Santa Monica UCLA Gynecologic Subspecialties Group strives to provide the highest quality medical care delivered with compassion and sensitivity. We are physicians committed to knowing each of our patients and their individual health needs, something so difficult to obtain in today's medical environment. We welcome you to our practice and will devote ourselves to your good health. We joined together many years ago focused on patient care and service to provide comprehensive gynecologic, urogynecologic and infertility care. We are prepared to handle all gynecologic medical needs.

Our office has been set up with your care and comfort in mind. Every effort has been made to take care of your medical needs conveniently and comfortably. Please remember that we are always available to hear any concerns or questions you may have. We appreciate the trust you have placed in us.

 

Nurse Practitioners

We are pleased to have certified nurse practitioners as an integral part of our health care team. These highly trained health care providers are available for most problems that can be cared for in the office including annual check-ups, breast exams, menopause counseling, contraceptive counseling and vaginal or bladder infections. In addition, our nurse practitioners have special expertise and certification in fertility treatment and menopause. Appointments with the nurse practitioner are available during regular office hours and Saturday mornings.

 

Barbara Jones Barbara Jones, R.N., Certified Nurse Practitioner, has been a Nurse Practitioner for 20 years. Barbara graduated from the Harbor UCLA Nurse Practitioner Program in 1988 and began her career in Women's Health in a private practice in the South Bay. Because of her interest and initiative in the area of infertility, she began specialized training in infertility and acquired certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Prior to joining our practice, Barbara was Program Coordinator of the Infertility Program at UCLA Medical Center.
Roberta Yates Roberta Yates, RN NP, has been with PRR for the past 2 years.  She sees patients for annual exams, office related gynecologic problems, and counseling.  She also answers myriad problems and is often in the office seeing patients Saturday mornings for added convenience.

 

Our Office Manager

Jeanne Sakamoto Jeanne Sakamoto is our Office Administrator. She keeps PRR in compliance with all rules and regulations as well as managing our office and staff.  She can be reached with any special needs or concerns.

 

Our Urogynecology Nurse

Tammy Nolan Campbell Tammie Nolan Campbell R.N. is our urogynecology nurse at the Pacific Continence Center.  She performs advanced urologic tests as well as biofeedback for many pelvic floor disorders.

 

Our Receptionists

Rocio Reynada Charisee Hollis-Hannie can be seen supervising the front desk. She manages schedules and checking patients in and out.  She is primarily responsible for Dr. Rosenman's schedule
Nonya Nonya Jackson has returned to PRR after several years and we are all thrilled to welcome her back.  She is in charge of surgery scheduling and works in the front and the back. 

 

As you will note, we do not have a voicemail system when we are in the office. If we are here, you will have your call answered by a live person, another way we try to give service that is above and beyond the norm. If we are at lunch or the office is closed, we do have a voicemail system for leaving messages. There is always a live operator option in case of an emergency.

 

Our Medical Assistants

 

Kisha Allen

Kisha Allen concentrates on Dr. Rosenman's and Dr. William Parker's patients. She is experienced in all the urogynecolgic as well as the GYN procedures performed in the office.  She  has been a member of the urogynecologic team for many years.
Wendy Jimenez Wendy Jimenez is a valuedmember of our medical assistant team. She is focused on the infertility service and comes to us with prior experience in this area.
Brittany Brittany Randolph is a medical assistant primarily but often works at the front desk as well. She is primarily responsible for Dr. Parker's scheduling and assisting.
Lanesha La'Nesha Green is an RN and primarily responsible for aiding the Fertility Team with Dr. Rodi.  She answers medical questions and acts as a liaison with all the doctors and nurse practitioners.
Ben Ben Hyun is our Bone Density Technician.  He is here every Thursday, mid-day to take care of any woman requesting a state of the art DEXA Bone Density.  If it was done elsewhere before, we can still repeat it here at the appropriate time. Just bring the prior report for comparison.

Urogynecology Services

Under Dr. Rosenman's direction we help women regain continence in a caring, convenient setting. State-of-the-art evaluation and treatment is available for incontinence and prolapse (dropped bladder). We offer specialized urodynamic testing at our Pacific Continence Center. Our methods of diagnosis and treatment allow us to design effective treatment plans for even the most persistent and hard-to-treat cases. We offer a myriad of treatment modalities - medications, non-invasive methods, and, if needed, surgery, all based on a conservative philosophy. Minimally invasive procedures are available as well as a new Robotic Surgery program for certain prolapse patients (More about Urogynecology Services)

 

Gynecologic Surgery

Our Physicians are highly skilled gynecologic surgeons. They have spent many years in extensive post-residency training in order to achieve special expertise in advanced laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery, infertility procedures and Urogynecologic surgery. They are often called upon to teach these procedures to other gynecologists in the United States and abroad. Our office provides special assistance to help schedule surgery or IVF procedures.

 

Infertility Services

Under Dr. Rodi's direction, we offer the highest level of infertility services. Every medical treatment currently available is offered to maximize the opportunities to conceive a healthy child. The services include initial work-up, In-Vitro Fertilization, GIFT, and egg donation, and reproductive surgery for conditions such as endometriosis and fibroids. Dr. Rodi is assisted during infertility evaluation and treatment by our expertly trained nurse practitioners. To meet your needs, sonograms and inseminations may be scheduled after 7:30 AM Monday-Friday, and Saturday and Sunday if necessary. Our office provides special assistance to schedule IVF procedures.

 

Bone Density

Bone Density testingOur practice uses a state-of-the-art GE Luna DEXA densitometer. Bone density testing can be performed at the time of the annual check up or any other convenient time. It takes 3 minutes and is painless.


Vaginal Infections, Bladder Infections, Pregnancy Tests and other Blood Tests

As a service to our established patients, we offer some diagnostic tests without an appointment or physician fee at 8:00AM or at 1:00PM Monday through Friday. Some of these sevices are also provided on Saturday morning but remember to call first. If you are concerned about a possible vaginal or bladder infection, the nurses will instruct you on how to obtain specimens of urine or vaginal discharge which will then be evaluated. Urine pregnancy tests can also be run at these times without an appointment. Other blood tests, as ordered by your doctor, can be drawn as well. These services enable you to get prompt diagnosis and treatment and you pay only a lab and handling fee. We find that many of our patients appreciate the convenience and low cost of these services.

 

Patient Education Programs

We are committed to being your partner in health care. It is in your best interest to be an educated health consumer, aware of the changing needs of your body and the current treatments available. To this end, we host monthly lectures on menopause as well as frequent education evenings on topics of interest to our patients.


Menopause Lectures

The treatment of menopause is an area in flux. Frequent reports in the media add to the confusing information available about menopause, particularly the benefits and the risks of hormone replacement therapy, the use of "natural" and bio-identical hormones and other related topics. Our practice has always recognized the need for current, accurate patient information. Over 10 years ago we began a monthly menopause information evening where we provide a scientifically sound analysis of all the issues involving perimenopausal and menopausal women. The lecture plus question and answer session is presented by our doctors and nurse practitioners. We frequently revise our presentation to include the latest information. Dr. Amy E. Rosenman is a board certified Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and an Assistant Clinical Professor of OB-GYN at UCLA School of Medicine. She is a Founding Member of the Pacific Continence Center and Past President of the Foundation of the American Urogynecologic Society. Dr. Rosenman is Chair of the Women's Services Task Force, Chair of the Credentials Committee and former Treasurer of the medical staff at St. John's Hospital. She is the Santa Monica site Director of the Urogynecology Fellowship Program at Harbor UCLA. Dr. Rosenman has been chosen for Best Doctors in America and Top Doctors. (more about Dr. Rosenman)

 

Dr. William H. Parker is a board certified Fellow in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and a Clinical Professor of OB-GYN at UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. Parker is an attending at the Pacific Continence Center and on the teaching faculty for the Urogynecology Fellowship at Harbor UCLA. Dr. Parker is past president of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, an international organization of over 4,000 gynecologic surgeons specializing in laparoscopic surgery, and is the former Chair of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center as well as Saint Johns Health Center. Dr. Ingrid A. Rodi is a gynecologist with fellowship training in Endocrinology and Infertility. In addition to board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology she is subspecialty certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is an Associate Clinical Professor of OB-GYN at the UCLA School of Medicine and is actively involved in the teaching of residents and fellows. Dr. Rodi is the Past President of the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society and is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technologies, the Society of Reproductive Surgeons and the Society of Reproductive Endocrinology. Dr. Rodi has been chosen for Best Doctors in America and Top Doctors.

 

Fees

Dr. Rosenman now accepts many of the health insurance plans that include coverage with UCLA Health.  You may wish to speak with your benefits coordinator or consult your health plan provider directory to confirm that Dr. Rosenman and UCLA Health accept your insurance coverage.
